We are seeing connectivity issues with this TLD, which is preventing new registrations. Neustar has confirmed the issue is at their end and they are currently working on it. There is no ETA at the moment, but we'll provide updates as they become available.

The Neustar registry has a scheduled maintenance on Sunday, February 27 , 2011 UTC from 04:00 to 06:00 UTC on the .BIZ, .US, .CO, .TEL, and .CN systems.

This maintenance should not affect services. If any systems are affected during the maintenance will we notify you of its impact.

Our connection to Neustar has been restored.

We don't have anything official to provide in terms of an explanation or incident report just yet, but we'll provide more information about what happened in the next couple of days. That summary will be published at the bottom of this status update once it's available.

We're still having trouble with our connection with all Neustar-operated registries (.biz, .cn, .co, .tel and .us).

Our operations team continues to be in contact by phone with the right people at Neustar as we both work though what's causing the problem with our connections. Neustar has confirmed that other registrars experienced similar issues today.

Sorry for the trouble this is causing. It's all hands on deck here to try and figure out what's at the root of the problem and to get service restored for these TLDs.

All other OpenSRS services, including lookups and management for other domain extensions are working normally.
