Our connection to the .PRO registry has been restored. We're awaiting more details from the registry as to what the root cause was. We'll post an update here once that information is provided.
Update: the .PRO registry provided the following:
"You may have experienced a connectivity issue to the .PRO Registry (SRS) between 23 February 2012, 13:24 UTC - 15:40 UTC. The connectivity issue was due to an internal error which has now been resolved."

The .ORG registry maintenance is complete.

The .ORG registry has a four-hour scheduled maintenance period beginning now. During this time it won't be possible to register or manage .ORG domains.

At approximately UTC 21:15, we noticed intermittent connection problems with the Registry that would prevent domain lookups and new domain registrations. These connection failures have subsided, and we are working with the Registry to understand root cause. We'll provide more updates soon.
