Our connection to Neustar has been restored.

We don't have anything official to provide in terms of an explanation or incident report just yet, but we'll provide more information about what happened in the next couple of days. That summary will be published at the bottom of this status update once it's available.

We're still having trouble with our connection with all Neustar-operated registries (.biz, .cn, .co, .tel and .us).

Our operations team continues to be in contact by phone with the right people at Neustar as we both work though what's causing the problem with our connections. Neustar has confirmed that other registrars experienced similar issues today.

Sorry for the trouble this is causing. It's all hands on deck here to try and figure out what's at the root of the problem and to get service restored for these TLDs.

All other OpenSRS services, including lookups and management for other domain extensions are working normally.

The problem has been identified and corrected. The cause of the event was related to the routing tables of a layer 2/3 network switch during an earlier upgrade. Everything appears to be back to normal and we're keeping an eye on things and will post updates if we notice anything else.

At approximately 03:00 GMT/UTC, we became aware of an event affecting a number of TLDs. DNS continues to resolve for existing domains, but registration of new domains is affected. Our team is currently diagnosing the trouble and will provide updates as they become available.
